Imaginary Borders
This project is centered on national roads and on growing national suburbs. This portrait of the contemporary, hybrid and confused geographical organization creates a link with its cultural space: the constant new urban and rural in metamorphosis, external to the city, consequent of the diverse, and increasingly agile, means of transportation; and instant networks and media. Thus, the road plays an important role in photography, not only as a means of travel, but also in understanding the different approaches that many authors and photographers have taken in their perception of the territory.
This interpretation of the territory that travels the road seeks to interrogate the role of photography in its relation with the road and with the landscape - in which we insert ourselves, live and act as a society. Thus, this series of photos makes us think in what way photography understands and portrays this kind of altered, often disorganized, confusing landscape that circumscribes the road - in the sense of possibly organizing it.
